The Best Protein Sources for Weightloss

Protein! Protein! Protein! Everyone says we need to eat more but what should I eat? Eating more protein will help with weight loss. Why? It makes you feel full. When I was 300 pounds, I started drinking 4 proteci shakes a day. It filled me up and made me less hungry. Now, it was really hard to drink that much but it helped my weight loss. I lost 23 pounds in the first month. Now, I have two protein shakes a day. One in the morning and one in the afternoon.


Generally, I rotate between chicken, fish and steak for lunch and dinner.

In the morning eggs and greek yogurt with blueberries. Two protein shakes/day. One after the workout and one after lunch.


Here is a cheat sheet on some protein:

1 large Egg - 6g of protein (I eat two)

Beef, 3 oz - 22 g of protein (lunch or dinner)

Beef Isolate Protein - 1 serving - 20g of protein (this is my protein shake)

Chicken Breast - 3 oz - 26g of protein

That's 100g of protein without my yogurt and nuts.

Plus 3 oz is a little small. If we double those, then it is 140g.


Other sources of protein:

Turkey - 3 oz, 24g

Cheese - 1 oz, 10g (I used to eat Babbles)

Cottage Cheese - 1 cup, 26g Salmon - 3 oz, 19g

Plain Greek Yogurt - 1 cup - 8g


Protein and weightloss go hand in hand.
