I am training for the Arnold Classic 5K in Columbus this year. I tweaked my bad knee. (I have a slight MCL tear) I went to the doctor and he advised me to take Tylenol Arthritis pills.
When I was 300lbs, I was taking six Tylenol Arthritis pills a day. I couldn’t walk 10 minutes without needing a break. The pain in my knee was extreme. But - by the end of the first month exercising- the pain killers were gone. And my weight loss transformation began. I was just doing simple bodyweight exercises like the chair squat.
So when the doctor suggested that, I laughed. I said, "Doc, I just came from working out. I don't need any painkillers, but I think I better get an MRI." My doctor is great and always asks me for fitness advice! Register for the 5K, let's run together!
Although I have knee pain, the issue is not serious enough to stop me. I may not be able to run fast but my goal is to finish it!
